The Morristown Lions Club holds several events during the year to provide funds for our various club programs. The biggest event we hold each year is our annual Lion-A-Rama Car Show. It is held in Fred Miller Park in down town Morristown, Tennessee on the first Saturday in June each year.Our 2008 show will be held on June 7, 2008. The show will start at 8:00 AM and conclude with a parade through down town Morristown to the Hamblen County Car Club weekly cruise-in located in the Eastern part of Morristown. This show is held annually in downtown Elizabethton. We usually have any where from 600 to 1000 cars show up. We give 125 awards and dash plaques and goodie bags to the first 300 cars. The show is from 10 to 4 and our weekly cruise in will start right after the show. Pre registration is 15.00 and 20.00 the day of the show. The First Annual Summit was a huge success thanks to amazing participants, sponsors, FJ Trail Teams and the considerate townspeople. The 2008 Summit promises to be even bigger and better! We will be increasing the amount of vehicles allowed due to demand, but there still may be a cap (yet to be determined). Registration will go up in the first quarter of 2008. The Best Western is entirely blocked off for us, so the whole hotel will be an FJ zone, and is the preferred place for people to stay. We look forward to seeing the Summit veterans as well as the the newcomers. Note that the event has been expanded by one day due to multiple requests for more time. July 16th will be an evening social gathering to kick off the event in style, and give everyone a chance to catch up with those that you know as well as meet the newcomers. It is held in Fred Miller Park in down town Morristown, Tennessee on the first Saturday in June each year.Our 2008 show will be held on June 7, 2008. The show will start at 8:00 AM and conclude with a parade through down town Morristown to the Hamblen County Car Club weekly cruise-in located in the Eastern part of Morristown. The First Annual Summit was a huge success thanks to amazing participants, sponsors, FJ Trail Teams and the considerate townspeople. The 2008 Summit promises to be even bigger and better! We will be increasing the amount of vehicles allowed due to demand, but there still may be a cap (yet to be determined). Registration will go up in the first quarter of 2008. The Best Western is entirely blocked off for us, so the whole hotel will be an FJ zone, and is the preferred place for people to stay. We look forward to seeing the Summit veterans as well as the the newcomers. Note that the event has been expanded by one day due to multiple requests for more time. July 16th will be an evening social gathering to kick off the event in style, and give everyone a chance to catch up with those that you know as well as meet the newcomers.
